The all-black double-breasted overcoat is the most formal coat we make. Black wool, black satin lining, peak lapels, double-breasted fastening, there is nothing extraneous here. Just a completely resolved, authoritative silhouette that has been worn by statesmen, tailors, and men of taste for over a century. If you want a coat that works for the most formal occasions without ever looking as though it's trying too hard, this is it.
Made from a 70% wool and 5% cashmere blend with full black satin lining, it's as warm as it looks. The peak lapels broaden the chest and give a natural, commanding width. At 46 inches it falls well below the knee, full coverage and a proportionally long silhouette that makes the wearer look taller. Works over morning dress, a lounge suit, or a dinner jacket for winter black tie. It is without question the most versatile formal coat in our range.

We want you to be completely happy with your Platinum Tailor coat. If for any reason you are not, we offer a straightforward 30-day returns policy on all orders — whether you'd like an exchange or a full refund.
What can be returned
Items are eligible for return if they are:
- Returned within 30 days of delivery
- Unworn and unused, in their original condition
- In their original packaging with all labels still attached
Items that have been worn, altered, or are missing original tags cannot be accepted for return.
How to return your order
- Download and print the returns form below. Complete it and include it inside your package.
- Repack the item carefully in its original packaging, ensuring all labels are attached.
- Ship the package to the appropriate return address below. Please note that return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, your refund will be processed within 7 working days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method. You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed.

Exchanges
If you would like to exchange your coat for a different size or style, follow the same returns process above and indicate your preferred exchange item on the returns form. Exchanges are processed within 7 working days of receiving your return.
